The queue for West Ham midfielder Tomáš Souček’s services seems to be growing by the week.

As previously reported, both Everton and Leeds United are preparing to make transfer bids for the 30-year-old, whose contract is set to expire in just over two years.

Claret & Hugh can now reveal that at least two La Liga clubs are also monitoring the situation and are expected to make summer offers for the Czech international.

Souček is understood to be happy in the UK and would prefer to stay at West Ham, where he has settled well. However, should the Hammers decide to offload him as part of Graham Potter’s expected midfield shake-up, he would be open to considering Everton and Leeds before looking at options abroad and uprooting his family.

Former West Ham boss David Moyes is believed to be keen on reuniting with the midfielder he brought to the London Stadium. Everton are reportedly willing to offer Souček a £30k per week pay rise — a notable jump given the player is currently on the lower end of the club’s senior wage scale.

That said, it’s important to note that Souček has no desire to leave West Ham. His preference is to sign a new deal and continue his career in East London.

However, Claret & Hugh understands that the West Ham hierarchy are unwilling to begin contract negotiations until the end of next season — a stance that could prove to be a sticking point between the two parties.

Hammers Chat my first game was West Ham 10-0 Bury . . . seriously!
We than went and bought Bury's central defender 😬⚒️ Irons

Started Hammers Chat alongside my partner in crime Geo back in 2014 and brough in to Claret & Hugh by my old mate Hughie to produce videos a couple of years later.

If the club are not negotiating his contract until it is nearly out then the message is that the player isn’t wanted. Great shame but the club have always spat in the face of loyalty, just ask Billy Bonds and generations of supporters

A great servant who has plenty more to give and he wants to stay..gets paid 30 k a week wich is embarrassing compared to ings 125 k and the board treat him like shit ..if anyone is worth 80/90 k a week it’s Thomas…he ran the most miles last week or the week before out of the whole Premier league games and these absolute clowns will think about selling him …total morons

Soucek should not be sold for chump change . Has to be at least 25 million for Westham’s second top scorer .

    • Clacton Rd Iron says:

A tad ambitious – about 25 million too much.
As I have stated on many occasions when Soucek (who seems to be a constant on C&H) is a lovely fellah, gives his all and is very brave – but he is nowhere near being a Premiership quality footballer – period. Don’t mind him in our penalty area or the oppositions – but isn’t capable of anything in between – he runs like he is wearing a nappy in desperate need of a change, he can’t shoot from outside the box, he can’t pick a pass other than a first time wall pass 5 yards either way, he gets caught in possession too often as well giving away loads of free kicks – all of last season he was looking for a move – nobody and I mean nobody was interested – and he is only going to get worse

Got to disagree bud ..he dosnt get enough credit..look atnthd important goals he scored . And he’s running the most miles on the pitch out.of the whole prem players the other week..look it up..he will be in the yop 3 best workers in the prem I reckon..no way should we sell..why do you think cluns abroad abd here want him ….

        • Mark D says:

Would he get in other prem teams yes would he get in top six teams probably not but that’s where we are at the moment but you cannot question his desire

Wrong feller. Souchek probably our best player apart from Bowen. Without him scoring goals at one end and saving us at the other over the last few years I hate to think where we’d have been.
