I’m pretty every West Ham United fan has their own shortlist of their own preferred ‘remainers’ : The players they’d like to keep at the club to form the nucleus of a side ready, willing, and able to take on the challenge of a Championship season.
Most supporters are reconciled to top-value talents Mateus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville being sold: Likely Jean Clair Todibo won’t be missed by most fans if he departs after his falling-out with Nuno at the end of the season.
However most West Ham fans would place Konstantinos Mavropanos – the Hammer of the Year 2026 – pretty high on their list of players they’d want to remain. West Ham’s most improved player of the last season would be a big ‘miss’ if he was sold: Following Axel Disasi’s departure at the end of his loan, the Greek is seen as the Irons’ sole top quality centre beck so to lose him in the summer transfer window would be something of as disaster.

Keeping abreast of developments ahead of the summer window opening on the 15th June, we contacted our own transfer source, close to several players but outside of the club’s hierarchy, over – erm – ‘whispers‘ we’d heard regarding Mavropanos and plans for a departure: Any concrete news on the Greek’s plans?

Mavrapanos was crucified playing alongside Kilman as would any defender. It was not only Desai arriving but more Kilman going . Nuno seemed to realize the problem so hopefully Kilman will go asap. If he stays we could easily go straight down. He is dire.
Must admit I expect all the backline to leave including keepers, for one reason or another (except Scarles, KWP).
Thinking that Mason Terry & Finlay Herrick could be required backup keepers & 1st team choice in cup runs for example, since they are both meant to be very good.
Nice if could get Disasi to come back on loan.
Sell him whilst his stock is high. This is the one sale that would make perfect sense. We know that in all likelihood, it’s only a matter of time before the Mavrapanos of old returns…. And in the championship without Disasi, it’s not going to be pretty…
Let the whole defence go, thats one place we should be looking to rebuild they have been absolutely shocking most the season
Let him go, without Disasi he’ll be back to Mavropanic! Get a decent fee and move on!
