Transfer update shows several irons in the fire

More player links reported across various sites this morning, which refreshingly point to younger targets, suggesting Kyle Macaulay’s  influence is already taking place.

Lorient striker Eli Junior Kroupi, is an 18 year old who has scored 8 goals, and laid on 2 assists in 16 appearances for the Ligue 2 club this season. A product of their academy he signed his first professional contract in 2022 and graduated to the first team in 2023. Tottenham, Chelsea and Bournemouth are other clubs that are interested in the youngster, yet no bids have yet been made.
Meanwhile, according to Italian sports journalist, Giunluigi Longari, it has emerged that West Ham have contacted Genoa about signing Belgium defender Koni De Winter. The pacy central  defender, aged 22 can also play both at full back and defensive midfield. Formerly of Juventus, the 6ft 3” player joined Genoa last summer for a fee of £6m. Any move for the player though may not be until the next transfer window.
An enquiry has also been made about Celtic youngster Daniel Cummings. The 18 year old striker has been prolific in their second team with 25 goals in 26 games. He recently made his first team debut in the UEFA Champions League game against Aston Villa, where he came on as a late substitute. His contract expires at the end of the season, with Brendan Rogers keen to tie him down to a new long term deal.
Lastly, Claret and Hugh have already discussed Tyler Morton at Liverpool, who is likely to be available on a loan deal. We are led to believe this one could move forward over the next few days.

I have been a season ticket holder since the late eighties, so experienced the highs and lows of being a West Ham supporter. I previously wrote for OLAS and have contributed to a number of football publications in the past.

And Celtic 2nds play against some serious opposition? Maybe that he is good but being prolific against lesser teams is not really a recommendation.

what it means is, Einstein, is that he’s too good for the 2nd team. he’s 18. put the puzzle together ffs

Really dissapointing to see C&H, Ex and other West Ham sites reporting these links to players. Only yesterday C&H were reporting on radio silence and efforts to prevent leaks to web sites and ITKs fom the club.

Graham has consistently refused to comment on links to targets and all this does is undermine those efforts.

mate, if C & H are publishing it, everybody else knows. do you honestly think this site is a spoiler? so naive

      • Essexiron42 says:

Not naive been a supporter for 60 years so seen lot of ups and downs at the club in my time. Most top level clubs get their business done without leaks from ITKs, club insiders and favoured sources. Look at how quickly Villa are moving to get Rashford and Marco Asensio from PSG on loan after Duran left and Ollie Watkins was injured yesterday with zero press coverage until last night. Then they just get the business done.

Why do you think Graham refuses to discuss targets and there has been radio silence from West Ham and a clampdown on leaks?

    Good hopes: Influence taking place.
Not so good reality: running out of time.
