Travel misery for Essex West Ham fans

|

crowdWest Ham fans from Essex heading to the London Stadium on Saturday to watch the Hammers take on Newcastle will face travel misery in addition to battling with tens of thousands of last-minute Christmas shoppers on their way to Stratford Westfield.

Greater Anglia services will not be running as usual because of ongoing Crossrail engineering works.

Ipswich, Clacton-on-Sea, Colchester and Norwich services will terminate at Ingatestone, with a Rail Replacement Bus service to Newbury Park connecting into the Central Line towards London.

Bishops Stortford to Stratford services will not run at all, with the public asked to travel via London Liverpool Street and use the Central Line to access Stratford.

Stansted Airport to London Liverpool Street services will run every 30 minutes, while Cambridge to Liverpool Street will run every 30 minutes and Stansted Airport to London Liverpool Street services (calling at all stations to Ponders End and Tottenham Hale) will run every 60 minutes.

Hertford East to Broxbourne will be a Rail Replacement Bus service too.

A good service is planned on the Jubilee and DLR lines.
