Tug of war for Sakho looming

|

diafra-sakho-west-hamBordeaux and Lazio are today being reported as being interested in signing Diafra Sakho.

But with the striker only just recovered from injury and making tentative steps to full fitness it would come as a surprise if the Irons were ready to let the player leave at this stage.

Andy Carroll is still sidelined leaving them with only Javier Hernandez as their only fully fit front man.

Sakho has looked relatively sharp since his return and looks booked for more game time at Cheltenham this evening than against either Manchester United or Southampton.

Lazio are reported to  have contacted the Hammers registering their interest  while Ligue 1 side Bordeaux are keen on taking the player back to France.

Lazio have Europa League football to offer, so could hold an advantage over Bordeaux although it’s doubtful the Hammers would want to trade at this stage.

I read lazio had turned down the chance anyway whatever truth there is in it to begin with.

We have had to wait for the best part of 18 months to get him fit & playing again (don’t count 4 games last season) it is like having a new signing, whats the point of selling him now unless we sign Jimenez??

Personally I see Sakho as a far better player than Jimenez. Delighted he is back and looking forward to seeing him as long as Bilic plays him. He is a far better team player than Carroll – he is a class act and I really hope himself and Hernandez hit the ground running. I hope the Davids offer him a proper contract if he does.

Sakho is going nowhere. There is only one forward we should look to unload but its all been said before which one.
