Twelve goal Irons bogeyman fitness doubt

Callum Wilson doubt

By Hughie Southon

Callum Wilson remains a slight doubt for Newcastle as Eddie Howe’s outfit head into the clash against the Irons tomorrow afternoon (Sun).

However, being frank (but hopefully wrong) it  sounds like smoke and mirrors with no details of the injury being given at all.

The only description  is that it is minor which seems to mean very little in the real scheme of things.

Wilson truly has been a Hammers bogeyman down the years and thus far has scored 12 goals in 13 Premier League appearances against us.

Meanwhile, Newcastle will definitely be without Anthony Gordan, who is suspended for the match after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season in last weekend’s 2-0 win over Burnley.

Brazilian Joelinton is also expected to be missing and Harvey Barnes has picked has a foot injury that Eddie Howes believes will keep the winger out until December.

Dutch defender Sven Botman (knee) has been confirmed as being ruled out and midfielder Joe Willock (Achilles) and Emil Krafth (ACL) are also big doubts.
