Rice and Lanzini have departed already. In my opinion the following players should also leave the club in this window, Johnson, Cresswell, Downes, Soucek, Vlasic, Ings and Antonio. Thats 9 players that could potentially leave. I do not believe we need to sign 9 players though. I think we need 6. We need a right sided CB similar to Aguerd, a left back, a CDM, a box to box 8 and possibly one more attacking option in addition to Borge assuming this deal is already done. Thats the 6 signings i believe we need this window and this will allow us to also integrate some of the younger players too.
Well, I guess I won’t be the only one to ask this question. Is David Moyes the sole reason that many players want out of the club? And let’s face it, Moyes has already lost some of his coaching staff. We may have won a European trophy but it seems to have come at a cost – Moyes remaining in charge! If we hadn’t have won that then we probably would have had a new manager already. It’s all bitter sweet.
