Twitter troll catches DG cold

David Gold’s determination not to be driven off  Twitter will have been tested to the limits by a troll who appeared to have really got one up on the co chairman

It was subtle and well executed leaving Gold, for now anyway, seemingly without an answer to his very clever wind-up.

The fan – obviously not happy about their impending move to the Olympic Stadium – seems to have caught the boss cold.

Here’s the tweet which got things on their way and the co chairman on the back foot.

  1. “Because we can sell the dump that is Upton Psrk for gazillions and then move into a bigger stadium – paid for by the mug taxpayer – and pay shirt-buttons for it!”

“Oh, by the way, sell your house if you like – what do I care?”

  2. Sorry, but that’s a dumb and annoying troll attempt.

The real estate market for houses is just a little bit different than the real estate market for stadiums.

  3. What an idiot. .If I could arrange a 99 year lease on £10m house and only pay £1k a year I’d sell my house right now!

As madjoy points out the markets for houses is a bit different to that for stadia.

  4. Think you’re being harsh madjoy, imo this is exactly the way to get your views across, better than the proper vile, hate filled little trolls anyway

  5. If anyone can’t see the benefits from moving into the OS then they must be mad! Or a spud! It is the gateway to a brighter future! COYI!
