Two West Ham players have been named in the BBC Sport Readers Team of the Season thus far.

The Hammers have been in exceptional form this season and are currently just one point behind fourth-placed Arsenal.

BBC Sport asked its readers to pick the 11 players who have impressed them the most this season and they have picked two Irons stars in the selection.

Declan Rice, naturally, goes straight into midfield, having captained the team at times throughout a campaign that leaves the club on the verge of Champions League qualification.

And Mikey Antonio slots in up front after his exceptional goalscoring exploits in the first half of the season, even if he has endured a slight dip in form in recent weeks.

The remainder of the team is made up of Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, Brighton defensive duo Tariq Lamptey and Lewis Duffy, Liverpool duo Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson, Crystal Palace’s Conor Gallagher, Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante and Kai Havertz, and perhaps the best player in the world at this point, Mo Salah.
