Two Must Win Games as Shadow or Terzic Lurks over Lopetegui

West Ham United have failed to confirm the rumour that head coach Julen Lopetegui will be dismissed if he loses his next two games. C&H contacted a London Stadium source to seek clarification on the speculation but the club have thus far remained tight lipped.

However, it seems clear that the Hammers hierarchy have been in contact with former Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzic about taking over the West Ham hot seat.

The Hammers face Leicester City on Tuesday night, followed by relegation strugglers Wolverhampton the following Monday. Reports suggest that in the unlikely event West Ham lose both games against these struggling Premier League teams, Lopetegui would face the sack.

Understandably, the club have refused to confirm what is little more than speculation. However, if West Ham were to lose to both teams battling relegation, it’s hard to see how the former Real Madrid coach could remain in his position.

That said, I believe it’s highly unlikely Lopetegui would lose both games, given the embarrassment of riches at his disposal.

would rather see Potter than Terzic, least he knows the PL, and would sort our defence out and get us together, who knows its a bloody circus, and with the dwarf and brady as the ringmasters we could get anything!

There’s no way you are going to get anyone who can both win games and play pretty football. There ain’t many of them and they cost the earth – even if you could drag them away from their current clubs.

  • John Ayris says:

Hoeness is the standout candidate. Lopetegui should have been gone immediately following the Everton game. I fear us getting involved in a scrap if this drags on until the new year.

Just echoing what has been said so far.
What is the point in putting in another new manager that most people have no confidence in and plays drab football.
Surely Sulivan knows that this guy would be unpopular
I think the only way to get the point across is to stay away from attending matches.

    LOPETEGUI DEFINITELY NO
    TERZIC DEFINITELY NO
and if he continues supporting either of the above reluctantly,
    STEIDTEN NO.

      What he said 👆.

If we’re getting rid, Hoeness is the obvious choice, only an idiot would decide otherwise…….Terzic it’ll be then, doomed before he’s even managed a game.

Uncomfortable with the idiot epithet, Whippethammer. Obviously allowed to your own opinion.

Here we go again another 2 games ,still going to be rubbish ,got to go now as we are wasting time and putting more pressure for results

Terzic is another manager who plays dull uninspiring and insipid football. He fell out big time with the players at dortmund which led to him being relieved of his duty, let’s be honest here the very last thing we need is another manager who creates division within the squad whilst also playing football to send you to sleep. Why does sulli consistently look at the manager with the dullest football philosophy and think “yep, he’s the one for me”? On a personal note this past week was the first since you and geo set up hammers chat that I haven’t watched, thanks for all the great content you both created I thoroughly enjoyed it and I’m disappointed I won’t be watching any more.

Whilst i believe that Lopetegui has never been the right man for the job I am not to sure about Tezic either as I have no faith in Steindten AT ALL and they are known to be VERY close friends But I cant believe that any coach would take a position and then blow up his reputation

  • Andy ⚒ says:

A lot of things I’m reading lately. People are starting to see right through Sullivan & Brady. It can’t belong before it starts turning toxic again. They never learn

  • Rob says:

Everyone knows that Sullivan is reluctant to pay out any compensation, so Loppy will stay until we are fighting a relegation battle. Then maybe, just maybe, a replacement will be found.

    • Hammeroo says:

And, of course, it would be another from the unemployed queue. It’s absolutely unfathomable why he does not see the value in paying money to hire a currently successful coach or manager, especially as he regularly approves spending big on questionable players.
