It is now well known that the Irons have been in the market for a midfielder since Declan Rice’s departure ,but we have found it nearly impossible to get a deal completed after being linked with the likes of Conor Gallagher, James Ward-Prowse and Denis Zakaria.
But it appears that one-time Hammers target Tyler Adams is back in the picture.
Now being revalued at £20m, despite playing for a relegated team, he did show some resolve as a defender by averaging 4 winning tackles a game, which stacks up well. He played just the 24 games for Leeds before a hamstring injury made him miss the business end of the season.
I don’t know about him, whether he will be a good fit for the Irons. I do hope that he is not going to be one of our “the season starts tomorrow, let’s buy him anyway” transfer stories
Nevertheless, it has to be said that the way things are looking right about now in East London, it appears as if our beloved Irons may be entering the new campaign in worse shape than they left the previous one.
