UNCONFIRMED REPORTS CARROLL ON ‘PLANE HOME

Andy-Carroll-West-HamSpeculation that Andy Carroll is on his way back from New Zealand has been filtering in from various sources this morning.

ClaretandHugh is attempting to get a definitive answer from the club and once we have their response we will update.

Two reports have come into our offices that the player has been sent back to Chadwell Heath for further treatment on what the club earlier described as an ankle injury.

We will bring you official confirmation or otherwise as soon as we have it although one New Zealand source claimed the news had broken on a local TV channel.

We would stress that the reports remain unconfirmed and will continue to monitor the situation.

  1. Just get rid of him and replace with a goalscorer who can remain fit. Take Nolan and Allardyce with him. I saw nothing from the game with Phoenix to suggest that Allardyce has any intention of playing any other way than the crap we have had to endure for the last few seasons. The chairmen need to get a grip because this was beyond poor (apart from Zarate and Fanimo)

  2. Couldn’t agree more JMan43, what’s the point of keeping a player who doesn’t play, because half the time he’s injured, ARRRR!!

  3. Missed the game this morning but disappointed to read the style was not improved… could have accepted a bad result at this stage if it were down to learning the ropes of a new system. Daily Mail reporting that we are back sniffing around Lacina Traore which raises a few issues… if true it might imply that AC’s injury is more serious than they are letting on for starters. But Traore… if memory serves this sicknote, 6′ 8″ with dodgy hams, royally messed us around and ended up going to Everton where he only played one or two games through injury. He was part of the reason we ended up re-signing Carlton Cole for gawds sake. It also suggests we are in for another season of waiting for a big, probably injured, striker to nod balls down for a largely immobile Nolan. Ho bloody hum.

    • Right – he doesn’t sound like much of an improvement on ‘Sicknote’ Carroll!

Couldn’t we persuade Liverpool to lend us Lambert?

  4. As I said in the wrong thread…

Oh gawd – it’s Deja Vu all over again!

How do we claim on the Insurance!
