Under 18 boss in charge of Spurs for Irons clash

Tottenham are being reported as being ready to see the team managed by the club’s under 18 boss against the Hammers on Saturday at the weekend.

Nothing can be certain at this time of the week and no doubt Jose Mourinho will have an input of some sort between now and match day.

But according to a report in spurs-web.com the Enfield born 28 year old is the man likely to lead the team out Ryan Mason, will lead his boyhood side out in the London Stadium derby, despite being younger than many of the first-team players.

They quote agent Alex Segal who took to twitter to declare: “Jose Mourinho to be announced Wednesday. Thursday latest. Ryan Mason will take the team v West Ham… José in the stands for that game. @SpursOfficial.

It may or may not be a bonus for the Irons with – as mentioned earlier – no doubt some players depressed by Pochettino’s departure.

It’s traditional for new bosses to be in the stand when appointed shortly before the game and it will no doubt be Mourinho’s team on the pitch but it will be Mason in the dug out -a guy younger than several of the players.

They will of course be hoping to impress the new manager but if truth be told it’s all abut how we perform and there can surely be no better time to meed the Spuds.
