Under 23s Play-off Final date set

westleyWest Ham’s under 23s will  take on Newcastle United in the Premier League 2 Division 2 Play-Off final at St James’ Park next Tuesday night ( May 16)  at 7pm.

The Hammers will travel to the north east full of hope that they can record their first win over the Toon side this season.

Terry Westley’s youngsters were in the North East twice in the space of five days in mid-March, grabbing a goalless draw in the league, before losing 3-2 in a dramatic Premier League Cup tie.

Now, they head back hoping for a victory that would see them promoted and play in Premier League 2 Division 1 next season.

The tie will be played to a conclusion on Tuesday night, with extra-time and penalties to be used if the scores remain level.
