Under 25’s need not apply!

|

With Ravel Morrison on loan to QPR West Ham no longer have any players under the age of 25 in the first team squad. James Tomkins is the youngest member of the current squad after turning 25 at the end of last month with Andy Carroll already 25. Collison, Reid, Henderson and Maiga are 26, Diame, Noble and Adrian are 28, Nocerino is 29 leaving Downing, Johnson, Carlton Cole, Collins, Borriello, Nolan, Demel, Diarra, McCartney, Taylor, Joe Cole and Jaakelainen in the 30 and over club.

It is obvious experience is preferred after youth by Big Sam but it does raise the the worryingly question whether the minimum age of the first team squad will just increase to 27 by the time we move into the Olympic Stadium in two years time.
