The ‘Man U interest in Arnie’ story is bizarre.
There’s little to back it up apart from the player having been managed by Jose Mourinho nine years ago at Inter Milan when he was on loan.
A quick check reveals he made just THREE APPEARANCES.
Mourinho was in Innsbruck last night watching as Arnie assisted in the goal that gave the Austrians a 1-0 win over Russia.
However, it would be a surprise if he had made the trip to run the rule over a player he knows well from the Premier League.
CandH has made it’s own phone to West Ham call since the ‘story’ broke on SSN and was told by a top insider: There’s been no bid, no interest expressed and he’s not for sale anyway.”
So in the absence of an offer from Old Trafford, and perhaps more importantly, any agent involvement we can hope this one will go away as quickly as it emerged.
I don’t think there’s much sleep to be lost here although I have been in this game too long to be surprised by anything.

Arnie needs to say he is happy or it won’t go away ..
Sensible thing is not to listen to silly rumours.
This is exciting times for Hammer fans and we need to put all our faith in Pelligrini.
Players signed and players who leave should be supported by the fans.
Wouldn’t want to sell him outstanding last season and a real Cantona figure, if he’s head is turned then get Rashford and Martial in exchange otherwise no deal
Rumour is probably based on the fact journos knew Mourinho would be watching Austria versus Russia tonight.
If Utd do come in for him he will probably go but the £50m is about half his worth in today’s market, sadly I think there may be truth in the rumour, Arnautovic has the x factor and would be a good replacement for Zlatan or Martial if they sell him as the big striker they are missing. Maybe Martial and £40 – 50 million would be a decent trade ?
Sky sports saying the club say he is not for sale. And he is worth 50 million” really? Well if he’s not for sale, why are they putting a figure of 50 million on him? No point in mentioning that is there? Not unless all you can think about is doubling your money on an investment in the space of a year and can’t think any further. Imagine how rubbish and doomed we would have been without him last year. Worth every penny and probably worth two of most players.
After last season I would have been ore surprised if there had been no speculation about a move to a ‘big club’. That is just the way the modern game is. There may or may not be anything in it, but there is definitely a story in it for the papers & for Sky. Where would Sky be without their ridiculous ‘Countdown to Deadline Day’ & some clown standing in front of a graphic with ‘possible deals’ on it which Sky have often set going themselves. I think at 29 most of the Top Six would pass on this deal but yes you never know. What it will probably do if it continues is unsettle the player to the point where he is Payet Mark2. So thanks Sky – this is the ‘Best League in the World’ which you have played such a big part in creating with your hype. Best League -Reality or Myth? Or as Jim Royle might have said -Best League My A***
Yep H64 we face the usual summer of speculation, imho Arnie had the best season he has ever had, he was consistently good once he found his feet, there is actually no guarantee he will be like that next season, players like Arnie when they are in the mood they produce but are always prone to changes in mood and performance level aren’t they ? I hope he proves the exception here but am not certain about it, one thing is for sure £50m is not nearly enough for him the way he performed last season, he was unplayable as many defenders found out, hopefully we can keep him but if not lets get the best deal possible Martial, maybe Rashford also in a swap or one of them and a bunch of cash COYI !!!
