Unlucky ‘break’ for exciting Irons prospect

Self-isolating Hammers striker Mipo  Odubeko is unavailable for the fourth round FA Cup tie against Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.

It’s a really unlucky break for the teenager who was in line to make a first-team debut in a match which would have been an ideal opportunity for manager David Moyes to take a look at his exciting potential.

The youngster was on the bench for the match against Burnley but failed to make the squad on Tuesday night against West Brom.

Although Mipo had zero symptoms Claret and Hugh understands it’s hoped that the youngster will return to training soon.

However, he won’t be available for a couple of more games given the situation and match fitness issues.

It’s ill-luck on the former Manchester United youngster who has suffered a  long term injury problem and could justifiably have expected to see some action on Saturday afternoon against Rovers.

  1. Awww, unlucky for all of us I think. I was really looking forward to seeing him play 1st team football….

  2. Really tough break for I was also really looking forward to seeing Mipo and a few others getting a run out – still time this season to get a good look at our Academy youngsters.
