“Usual courtesies” to Hammers board at Leicester

|

West Ham’s board member and their entourage will receive the usual courtesies when they visit Leicester City tomorrow afternoon (Sat).

Reports in some of the national press had indicated that the Foxes board would refuse David Gold, David Sullivan, Karren Brady directors’ box positions given a row brewing back several months.

Hammers vice chairman Baroness Karren Brady wroteg in her national newspaper column that City chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha had told her of Claudio Ranieri’s impending sacking while buying wine.

City refused to do business with the Hammers when they tried to sign Islam Slimani, – reportedly as a result of that – but the visiting directors will not be banned from the directors room or the directors box tomorrow.

The Leicester Mercury has revealed that the usual invitations to visiting officials have been sent to the Hammers and they will be guests of Khun Vichai on Saturday, which will feature the usual end of season festivities.

I am very pleased to hear this news. I was quite worried that Sullivan, Gold and Brady would not be well looked after tomorrow. I am sure all Irons fans will sleep just that bit easier tonight knowing that our illustrious board will get to enjoy the full hospitality package at Leicester, no less than they deserve.
