Valencia eyes top four spot

|

Valencia3Enner Valencia has talked long and hard to manager Sam Allardyce about the ambitions of the club and to try to play European football.

The Ecuador striker is at Chadwell Heath battling to be fit for the first game of the season against Spurs and the manager can be in no doubt of the striker’s aspirations.

Valencia, 25, revealed: “Before signing we spoke a lot with Sam Allardyce. It’s a great challenge and I’m going to work very hard to try to make the top four.

“Several offers came in from clubs but when I found out West Ham were interested I said ‘yes’ because it is one of my dreams to play in the Premier League. After the World Cup I feel very confident.

“I’m a quick player, I work hard, I am always running when I don’t have the ball to be in a good position to receive it and finish.

“I hope I can bring a lot of happiness to West Ham fans.”
