Valencia fakes injury to avoid police

|

West Ham player Enner Valencia is alleged to have faked an injury to escape from police during Ecuador’s victory over Chile last night. The striker currently on loan to Everton was confronted by police officers upon arriving at the stadium on Thursday over unpaid child maintenance bills.

The 26-year-old started Ecuador’s 3-0 victory and but it is claimed he orchestrated his own exit from the ground by being substituted and leaving in an ambulance. Police chased Valencia on foot as the forward was carried to an ambulance in a golf cart.

Paul Marin, a lawyer for the mother of Valencia’s child declared: “It’s lamentable that certain police officers didn’t collaborate with the detention of the footballer Enner Valencia, to ensure compliance with a judicial order. If they say this man earns so much, why doesn’t he pay [the maintenance] monthly to his daughter.”

I think they should have played a bit of Benny Hill music to accompany the clip, either the classic where he is being chased around by scantilly clad women or with it being Enner, they could play Ernie the fastest milkman in the west 😉
