Enner Valencia is dithering about a move to Aston Villa despite being made a massive personal terms offer.
The new Chinese owner businessman Dr Tony Xia is desperate to sign the Ecuador striker and has offered the Irons around £10 million over three years.
ClaretandHugh has learned that Valencia’s personal terms would dwarf what he is earning at West Ham but he isn’t keen to step down into the Championship.
However he knows that once the Hammers have brought in new strikers he won’t get a shout at a first team slot so has a decision to make over the next four days.
Villa are the only club to have shown an interest in the player and although the deal is not yet off, the midlands outfit are having to look elsewhere as the striker drags his feet on their offer.
The Ecuador international knows he has no future at West Ham and that is the issue which could finally focus his mind on the move.

i got to be honest this player has been a real pro doesnt run to the newspapers or radio to slag anyone off and he has had some really bad stick from a lot of fans. i say thankyou for your efforts and good luck to your future i did rate him highly but he doesnt seem to fit in anymore at WH
He wanted to join Chelski last year thought he was too good for us ! Oops, but I do agree he hasn’t been used properly and has just not fitted in with our style of play. Was Ok with Sahko before AC arrived back on the scene In the first part of the season in 2014.
Time for him to move on, Will be good for both us and him.

Valencia seemed ok for while and showed promise , but that ( was it shoulder ) injury set him back and never fully recovered with new faces in the team . Shame he couldn’t get back up to speed really . Won’t bother me if he decides to stay though . With the way things are going we need a squad of 50 .

Enner Valencia has the ability to trap the ball further than rest of the squad can kick it. I’m not saying he’s the worst player I’ve ever seen wearing our kit but he’s definitely down there in the brown smelly stuff called Boogers. £10m over 3 years? And he’s not convinced? Someone needs to tell him that Aaron Cresswell in his current injured state is nearer the top of the pecking order with regard to playing. The man is an enigma, he’s masquerading as a professional footballer and getting paid a lot of money for producing very little in return. If we can’t offload him to Villa, loan him out somewhere or give him a high viz and make him a steward!

Shame it didn’t work out. I was convinced he’d be a 15+ goal a season player; just doesn’t have the physicality unfortunately. He’d probably do OK in the championship.
Dead right – he doesn’t have the strength, physicality or technique required for the Premiership – the Championship should suit him down to the ground!
