Valencia set to move on wantaway Iron

Valencia are this morning being reported as being keen to complete a deal that started rumbling in the winter window to take Chicharito from West Ham.

The La Liga club wanted to take him on loan in Janury but the Irons were insisting on a £10-£12 million fee.

This probably had as much to do with the uncertainty surrounding Marko Arnautovic’s position at the time but with the manager ready to completely re-shape his front line, a deal at around £8m to £10 million could now be on.

With wages of £140k a week being paid to him, the Hammers are ready to cut the asking price in order to make room on the wage bill for new arrivals.

The striker is known to want a move to Spain and was disappointed when the potential loan move fell through but he now looks likely to join Lucas Perez on the exit list despite the club only recovering 50 per cent of what the paid for him.

  1. Let him go.We need a potent striker .Let ARNIE FIGHT FOR HIS PLACE EVERY WEEK

  2. If he wants to go, get shot, we need players who fight for the shirt not mercenaries looking for big pay days and not providing a return on the money we pay them.
