Valencia Stoke start poser

ValenciaactionEnner Valencia is ready for the Stoke City match!

And that means only Andy Carroll, James Tomkins and Doneil Henry remian on the injury list as the Irons head into the final crucial games of the season.

Valencia has played a full part in training this week but whether he starts  remains to be seen.

The manager appears to prefer to re-introduce those who have been on the injury list from the bench so that will be an interesting decision.

Stijn Vandenbroucke, Head of Medical and Sports Science reports on the official website: “Enner will be available to be selected to play against Stoke City on Saturday.

“Andy Carroll (knee), James Tomkins (shoulder) and Doneil Henry (hamstring) are continuing their rehabilitation following their respective surgeries.”

  1. Sam will prob start him from the bench cuz he wont wanna play Valencia and Sakho at the same time, unless he pushes Valencia out wide. Sam knows that Stoke are a great side who are very tough to beat just like Leicester last week.

SAFETY FIRST — RESPECT THE POINT

    • Actually I’m flying in from Copenhagen on Saturday morning just to see my old man and to go to the match with him. This will be the 5th home match i’ve flown in for this season and i’ve already spent more money on those 5 games than my dad has on his season ticket in the chicken run… so far my only let down has been the 0-0 draw with Villa.

This time though I’m not so excited and I fear Sam playing 1 up at home which will break my heart.. I want my team to play for the win or its not really worth me going to all this effort to see the boys. Sad really

  2. If he doesnt start i wont be happy. The geezer cut his toe, didnt rip his hamstring to bits.He should be raring to go.If he does play & then Allardyce drops any other midfielder than Nolan it will be a joke. But it will probably be someone like Noble goes to the bench just so he can still have his pet in the team.I hope we only have 7 more games of witnessing this ridiculous love in between Samuel & Kevin, its gone on too long!

  3. There will always be a place for Kevin. If not as midfielder, striker or defender no problem, Adrian will sit on the bench… I love the love story between him and sam, it’s better t’han Beautiful…

  4. It was no coincidence that we were playing so well early season with both Valencia & Sakho up front. Since his love child came back & unsettled the team, we have gone back so far into last seasons crap that it makes me sick. We should have been beating teams such Palace, Leicester. There have been far too many ‘bad day at the office’ excuses.
Should be a no brainer with Valencia. any other manager would have told Nolan, ‘thank you for the last couple of seasons, but now all i can offer is club captain. You will get the lads pumped up in the dressing room. You might if the whole squad is injured along with, the u21, youth, boys , ladies & anybody walking past the ground with a pair of boots, get a place on the bench’

  5. Dream team for Stoke :
    ADRIAN, JENKINSON, KOUYATE, REID, CRESSWELL,
    SONG, AMALFATINO, DOWNING
    VALENCIA, NENE, SAKHO
    Subs:
JASSKALAINAN, COLLINS, DEMEL, NOBLE, POYET, NOLAN, COLE
but only use COLLINS, POYET & NOBLE

    I can dream can’t I

This will be my last game , as I will not attend again until Sam has gone, and I would love to see this team start and produce a goalfest to round off my season.
Will await with baited breath to see who replaces Sam , if the owners keep him I will not attend a single game next season.

  6. The very least Dudley the Dinosaur can do is give Poyet some game time. What difference is it going to make now, give him Burke & maybe Oxford some first team exposure & some game time.It will only be beneficial for next season. But the genius wont,O’Brien,Demel & Jarvis will still be his back ups.Even though all 3 will probably be gone in the summer.

  7. Old iron why Ginge on bench and not with Ried ( last week tipped as player of the year)
Kouyate along side Poyet ( give Song a rest he won’t be here next year)
No Demel or NOLAN on the bench replace with Oxford and Boothe,
Start with Noble and Put Nene on the bench for me,
Let Jarvis ,Demel,O,Brien and Nolan get the message.
    BFS OUT NOW
