Ricardo Vaz Te has left West Ham by mutual consent and immediately signed for Turkish Super Lig club Akhisar Municipality and Sports Club
Talking on his official twitter channel Ricardo said “To everyone involved at west ham united, its been a privilege to play for ur club. Each and everyone of you will have a place in my heart, I have made some amazing memories and, met amazing people which i will cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you i love you all Now i start a new journey in turkey with @AkhisarsporFan :)”
Vaz Tê signed for the Hammers January 2012 for £500,000 on a two-and-a-half year deal with an option for a third year and made his debut for the club, coming on as an 89th minute substitute against Millwall. Vaz Tê will be best remembered for scoring the winning goal in the 87th minute in the Wembley Play off final. That was the 24th goal Vaz Tê had scored in the 2011–12 season. Good Luck Ricardo!
Great news! At the end of the day he just wasn’t good enough for the prem or more importantly to take the club to the next level.
But the best thing about the depRture it frees up both a place in the squad and money for quality replacements! (Song, Jenks and a skillfull centre half spring to mind!). COYI!
Thanks for wearing the shirt and all the best on your new journey Ricardo!!!
