Viborg set for major boost

Viborg will be given a major boost ahead of the second leg of their Europa Conference League play-off, with two key stars set to return.

Nigerian winger Ibrahim Said and Gambian forward Alassana Jatta both missed the first leg after they fell foul of Brexit entry requirements; Viborg were unable to secure visas for the pair.

As a result, they stayed in Denmark and are poised to return for the second leg, after the Irons won 3-1 at the London Stadium.

Said is a Nigerian winger, who can play on both sides, and he has scored three goals for the club, while Jatta is a striker with 17 goals in 68 games.

As a result, Hammers boss David Moyes simply cannot take the second leg lightly.

One has to think that he will continue with Alphonse Areola in goal as the cup goalkeeper, although Vlad Coufal is out after sustaining a concussion at the weekend.

Flynn Downes could come in over Declan Rice who remains suspended for the second leg, while Maxwel Cornet and Gianluca Scamacca could receive further minutes after playing in the first leg.

Possible West Ham XI: Areola; Johnson, Zouma, Kehrer, Cresswell; Downes, Soucek; Benrahma, Fornals, Cornet; Scamacca
