Video Blog: Amazing journey from Upton Park to Stratford – jump aboard…this is not to be missed

Here ย is a magnificent journey captured by ClaretandHugh’s partners Hammers Chatย between Upton Park and the Olympic Stadium.

Every aspect of the move we are about to make is captured in this quite outstanding video fronted by Gonzo in the company of Geo.

They take us from the nostalgia of the Boleyn through Green Street before jumping the tube to Stratford and journeying on through the sights and sounds of our new area and home.

There is an epic finale to this video – PLEASE WATCH TO THE END.

To put it in the words of ย song by The Who – do not miss this Amazing Journey

  1. Very nice ending, pity about all the speeded up bits, would have been better to show it at normal speed and just cut some of it out. 8/10 ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. I grew up in the area, but haven’t been near Stratford for 30 years. It’s changed a bit hasn’t it! Great little video. Stadium looks fantastic.

  3. Very helpful. I’ll definitely refer back to this when I visit next year. Also, hands up if you’ve ever used Yakety Sax in a video. I know I have.

  4. Great video. I live in Stratford and it does show it how it is!

  5. great video lads and well selected music brought back some memories for me.
    old hammer

  6. Well good vid, really enjoyed it.Could have done with some better looking actors though.Right dodgy mob, lol, but it’s still a 10 from Len ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • ahahah…I agree Rads, I would also add some ignorant piggs and rabid dogs as main actors… lol ๐Ÿ˜€

      • Lol, & maybe the Monkeys Bellend as the driver of the tube taking the Rabid Dogs on their day out.Oh we better have some ‘intellectual debate’ boys in it from Wetties as well.Maybe Dolly & Molly can be our mob getaway drivers & the Stats King on there can do the narration about how many people use each station every day as we travel through them, lol. As you can tell Matte I still hate stats & anyone who uses them as an argument or observation.Stats men should be burned at the stake, lol ๐Ÿ˜€

        • ahahah… great stuff Rads, love it lol.. I’m sure it would be the best documentary of the year, nominated for the Oscar… ๐Ÿ˜€

  7. Top video really enjoyed it, especially the Ray Winstone impressions and the music haha

  8. No video link detected.. Where do I watch the video?(

  9. Thanks for the comments (apart from the better looking actors bit Radai, lol).

  10. Enjoyed that! I agree; the OS is going to be amazing. I was v worried about the distance and heights from the pitch. I went to one of the Rugby matches, and was very pleasantly surprised. Got my season ticket for next year….and looking forward to it. If that roof does hold in the sound, 54k chanting away will put the fear of God into the opposition. Yeeessss! COYI!

    • You’re right, it is much better once you get in there.

The trouble is we all view these things on an 8″ pad or a mobile phone and there is just no way that any of the pictures do the view from the seats justice.
