Video: David Moyes praises West Ham performance

|

David Moyes parsied West Ham’s performance against Sheffield United telling Sky Sports camerasĀ  “First of all, I’d like to start at the beginning and say how well my players played, I thought they were terrific tonight, I thought we didn’t deserve to lose and we might have been disappointed having a draw in the end but if we had come here and taken a draw we would have been happy because it is such a tough place to come. I think we scored a good goal to equalise, I am a football man and I watch football and see it, I thought Declan Rice did brilliantly well to break through the middle, good power, good strength, their defender did well to get back headed on to Declan, Declan Went on and played it on, passed and we scored. IT was a good performance. It was certainly worthy of a point, if not more. I thought we played very well tonight”

Not sure why he thinks we were terrific, they were okay and Sheff Utd were pretty poor. .

I really didn’t want Moyes but am trying to move on now that he’s here and the two wins have helped that. I think he got it pretty wrong last night, although was undone by VAR.

    – Lanzini over Fornals?
    – I don’t mind the 3 at the back but not sure injury wise this was this right time to change to it, especially having to use Zab as WB who clearly hasn’t got the legs these days.
    – Played Anderson close to Haller versus Bournemouth and worked a treat, i thought ‘finally a manager who gets it’. Then Rips that up and goes back to Haller on his own, with two a little more deep – Doesn’t work, we’ve seen it all season. On 2 occasions Anderson hit 50 yard balls to him when he shouldn’t be that far away, unless there’s two up top.
    – Few mins to go and trailing, he belatedly brings on Fornals for Lanzini when Noble was having an atrocious night (1/10)

We need some legs and/or power next to Rice so badly. Hopefully Moyes sees that, Billic did but got let down when trying to buy Carvalho, Pellegrini didnt seem to.

I am sure that the same people with same negativity will respond as on posts prior to this , if anyone could not see the increased energy , quicker passing willingness to want and use the ball yes some individual performances were not up to standard but we are now in a better position now Moyes is here let’s get behind him and I hope for a while for some stability since the days of Marcari .
