Video: David Moyes pre-match presser

How is the injury news looking?

Much the same. We are still waiting on Robert Snodgrass who has done a little bit of light training today. Same as Felipe Anderson but both are not available for this game. I hope that I might get them back after this game, possibly.

Especially Snodgrass, how big a boost could that be?

It would be great but, realistically, getting over the lockdown period and then this quick period of games it would be difficult for them to get up to speed quick enough. If we can get them back for any small period that would be great.

Four games to go, survival is normally 40 points, what will it take this time?

I don’t know. Look, we just need to win our games and do our job the best we can. Keep being positive in the games, trying to make chances and see where we get but I don’t know the exact answer.

Last chance saloon for Norwich so a chance for you to stamp your mark on survival?

Every game we have had since we came back, we have had that in mind. I knew when I took over the difficulty of the position we were in but I am hoping that we can pick up the points.

The lads are working really hard to ensure we remain a Premier League club. We want to do something to try and make sure next season the supporters are watching Premier League football.

Can you draw on your experiences from the last time or is this unique?

You can draw on experience because we were there before but obviously this is unique because you have different players this time. I am hopeful that the players here before that were in this position can use that, know how important it is to win games and make sure that you get points at every opportunity.

Biggest challenge managing in a situation like this?

I think we are just trying to make sure we play well, put in good performances because that is what gets results.

I think we had good performances in some of the games but didn’t get the results, then we eventually got them, then we have had some performances at a decent level, we just didn’t take our chances.

We probably had more chances in that game [Burnley] than we have had in any other. But we didn;’t take them. I have reminded the defenders that we have to try to find a way tonot concede any goals, that is a big factor.

Given you had those chances, is that the positive you are giving to the squad?

Not really, I think the performance against Burnley was the positive. A lot of them have been good. Maybe we didn’t play as well as we had liked on Wednesday night but you couldn;t have said it was for a lack of trying or for a lack of opportunities.

We had plenty of them, probably the best we have had all season.

How do you feel about Sebastian Haller’s form?

The thing is we can’t really judge his form because he has played 20 or 30 minutes so we have got nothing really to go on. We are just bringing him back from injury, he is an important player for us. Is he fully fit? I would say no at the moment but I think he is capable of helping us out and hopefully he will regain his match fitness quite quickly.

How do you see him working together with Michail Antonio?

They worked very well together but unfortunately since lockdown we have not had Seb Halle for them to work together, so we have not had the chance to use that combination. We are still trying to get Seb up to match speed at the moment.

This is the third of three games in six days, how are the boys feeling? Is there enough time for your squad to recover?

The obvious answer to that is no, but I will not discuss that. We are ready to play, we are doing everything we can to be ready.

If you win you will send Norwich down, what are your thoughts on what they have done?

We would all say there are a number of things that Norwich have done that have been very good. I think it would be great if football wasn’t all about spending money.

So I think there is admiration for them, I think Tottenham did it a few years ago when they didn’t spend any money in the transfer window. If football is all about money then it will ruin the game, it can’t just be about how much money you have got to spend.

I wish it was to do with coaching, development, young players getting their opportunities and I think Norwich have tried t o show that is what they are. I congratulate them on their efforts and which way they decided to go.

You have some must-win games coming up, what do you want to see from your side going away from home?

An improved away record would be a start. We got a good point at Newcastle last week and hopefully we can perform as well again and show similar traits. At this moment in time getting the points and getting over the line is the big thing.

We have got four games to go and we are going to have to win a couple of those so every chance we get to win we have to take it.
