Video: David Moyes Spurs pre-match presser

David Moyes had a brief virtual press conference at Friday Lunchtime ahead of the Hammers trip to North London on Sunday to face Spurs

How are you yourself and confirming you will be on the touchline?

I’m all good. I have to say thanks for all the support form the people around me.

Like everybody else, I followed all the guidelines, stayed at home a little longer because I didn’t want to be a spreader and bring it in but I had a brilliant team looking after the football side.  They did a great job, I am really pleased.

Said Benrahma, medical failed and that is the end of the matter?

No that’s not correct, he hasn’t failed his medical and we are still hopeful that something can be done by later today but I just can’t guarantee that at this moment in time.

Part of his medical is still ongoing. Talking about medicals is private, it is something that has to be done so I am not going to discuss that. All I will say is that we have still got hope that we can get it done today.

Frustrating that it has taken a long time?

These things happen in football, it happens all the time but we will soon find out.

Gary Neville’s comments encouraging for an independent arbiter for football

I agree with a lot of it but also I have other opinions on some of the other things that are happening as well.

I certainly don’t agree with the big picture or whatever it is called. As someone who is really close to grassroots football, running boys teams in Glasgow, worked through to manage in the top leagues, and as a player it was a great thrill to play every Saturday.

Now, having managed top teams I have seen the other side of it and it can’t always be the top clubs looking after smaller clubs but we have a big job to do, it is a difficult time for everybody. The government needs to do more for the lower levels of football and sport because it is such a big part of this country. From that point of view, I’d like to see them do a bit more.

Team news?

Ryan Fredericks is back in training, Issa Diop back in training, just about everyone is back fit. We’re in a good place I think but we need to check those who were on international duty are okay.
