You have to love Mark Noble.

Here he is as the Irons made their way out for the second half of the match against Liverpool letting the referee who allowed a clearly offside goal from Mane to stand. Nobody inside the game is allowed to complain publicly of course without being hammered by fines and the like but this front up in the tunnel shows the Irons lads were still living with his disgraceful decision after the game.

Mark Noble doesn’t give an inch. He is an east ender after all!  He may have his critics but as a skipper when standing up and leading his team the lad is unbeatable.

Nobes shouts “Ref, you didn’t see it, did you?”  Referee Kevin Friend answers “What?”

“Their goal, it was a metre offside!” complains Noble  “I didn’t see anything” Friend replies before Noble repeats “right in front of your linesman, it was a metre offside.”

Meanwhile, Issa Diop’s face is an absolute picture. If contempt had a face this is it. Let’s just hope that this bloke with the flag – whatever his name is – finds himself stood down for a while.

Wouldn’t wish him on any team.

Quality from Nobes. Particularly first half, he was very influential I thought against Liverpool. You NEED players like him in your team, as this video shows he is very influential off the pitch as well. Well done for putting this article and video up.

Mark Noble is a great club captain, and a rare breed that we see little of, a local boy doing well at West Ham! Right the official is dropped this weekend, but should it be more than one week. Video has worked in Rugby, used right it does not slow the game down.

Sad on one of our fan websites, 4 initials, the blood is out by a few for Noble who want him out, I have supported the club for well over 50 years, and never in all that time due to social media have I lost so much interest in the sport! Soon clubs may as well become such as The Wildcats, or just Saints, they have little do with the area that they once represented, that you went to school with the players etc.

It’s not fair, and that’s what VAR will ultimately eradicate, but part of life is learning to live with injustice and move on. I wonder what the league would look like if incorrectly allowed goals were wiped from the record. I daresay it would look pretty much the same as it happens for and against every team.

Fair play to Nobes though – I love the guy and am pleased we have a captain willing to stand up.

Leicester wouldn’t have won the league if the league reflected poor decisions correctly, Utd would rarely finish in the top four as they have more favourable decisions than most, it should become easier to break into the top six for teams not of the traditional big six, at least thats the hope, what we will probably see is strategic buys by top six teams to keep the others out, systematically buying the best talent just so other teams are less competitive. I suspect money will be used try to overpower any disadvantages they have due to VAR costing them points.

That’s all very well but Liverpool still get the point, I heard the Linesman has been punished but not Liverpool, we still lost 2 pts , WHY can’t we be given the win as EVERYONE KNOWS IT WAS OFFSIDE doesn’t seem fair to me

Bring on VAR. These decisions always seem to go the “big teams” way. Just as well origi fluffed that last minute chance too..
