Video: Noble reflects on progress made this season

|

Mark Nobes told Rob Pritchard at the London Stadium: “The last two weeks have been fantastic, we didn’t want to waste today after last week, six points against Spurs and Southampton are two great results, fully deserved.   The way we are playing, I think you can see we play in a certain style, away to Spurs we looked really dangerous, forget we missed Declan (Rice) today and Felipe (Anderson). Pedro (Obiang)  came in and was fantastic, Grady (Diangana) came in who hasn’t played for a while, its been really good.   It’s a shame that it always ends like this when you are playing so well, we are hoping we can get three points next week against Watford and finish on a high.”

“We are only 4 or 5 points off where we wanted to be, with no wins in the first four and we have probably been a little bit sloppy against teams in the lower end of the league this year but some of our performances here have been fantastic.”

  • Just to say, what a great season Mark Noble has had, inspirational Captain, and credit to himself and his team mates. Against Spurs last week was truly a memorable display in midfield. Well done Mark.👏

Here here. Some are quick to condemn him but go quiet when he plays well. Wonder who they’ll slag off instead of Mark this week?

I’m really pleased for Mark, he’s had a fantastic season and I’ve found the attitude from some fans insulting tbh. He’s always given his all for the club he loves, thought highly by his so-called better teammates and doesn’t receive the credit he deserves. Pelle has given him a more advanced role and he’s become pivotal in the balance between defence and attack. Strange how every manager he’s played under has selected him. They obviously know less that some so called experts. Keep it up Nobes. Many of us will miss you one day.

I only hope he has got another couple of seasons in him. He will be difficult to replace as captain.
