Villa’s betting probe player free to meet Hammers

Aston Villa’s Nicolo Zaniolo is free to take his place in the match against the Irons despite having been questioned over the illegal betting scandal in Italian football.

Zaniolo and Newcastle star Sandro Tonali – like West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta – are involved in the large scale probe currently being conducted.

Villa confirmed that Zaniolo is assisting the investigation and has met with senior club officials but  he remains in training in readiness for Sunday afternoon’s game – the only match being shown on TV this Sunday.

Currently more than 40 players are involved in these allegations which have been notably prevalent in Italy.
Nicolo Zaniolo is available for Aston Villa's match against West Ham on Sunday, the club said

Juventus midfielder Nicolo Fagiolo received a seven-month ban for breaches  after admitting his guilt and of course in Britain Ivan Toney is back in action after Christmas after doing the same.

However, Hammers star midfielder Paqueta insists that he is guilty of nothing as the Football Association [robe continues into his situation.
