Vlasic has something to say about Lingard return

|

Nikola Vlasic may have started his campaign to put the Jesse Lingard return story where many believe it belongs in Vienna tonight – out of our minds.

Ok, despite Mark Noble making the usual comment that our opposition were a good side, they didn’t look much better than above half way Championship to me.

But despite that it was good to see the Vlasic potential begin the become reality as he caused real problems inside the box and floated in a great cross for Yarmolenko’s opener.

Kingard could still be on the way back I suppose but hopefully there’s a lot more to come from Vlasic because what we saw tonight was pretty exciting at times.

Obviously we need to see it happening against Premier League teams but he did his chances of appearing at that level no harm tonight.

I’ll be fascinated to see what he makes of it when he gets a chance after this game.

Very pleased that Vlasic and Lanzini are starting to perform, Kral is getting fit it seems. Yes we need a striker, but I am one who is forgetting Lingard. Don’t believe he wants to leave ManU or that he wants us other than a backstop. We shouldn’t be looking to build on his last resort attitude to us.

Agree with you Hugh, most of us have been waiting patiently for Vlasic to get up to speed and begin to show us all the ability that we know he has, and tonight I believe that he finally began to show it. Confidence has a big part to play in any players form and tonight I feel that he would’ve gained some confidence from his performance and assist. Hopefully, he will soon start to be a big player for us as we have a small squad with plenty of games ahead.

With ten games in the next month I think Vlasic is going to get plenty of chances. Looks like a proper team player to me. Lots of link up play and assists. Be good to see him score a few goals.
