Nikola Vlasic – believed to be moving to Torino permanently after a year om loan – was the shock name to be included on the West Ham retained list last week.
The Serie A club Torino had a €13m (£11.2m) option buy the player at the end of the season which is now reported to have expired but there have been several reports they want that knocked down to €8 million, which would be£18 million less than he joined us for.
West Ham had been subsiding his wages to the tune of 15 percent but that loan will now officially end in 10 days time at the end of June.
The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at the Serie A outfit, scoring five goals from his 37 matches in all competitions
Torino are not flush with cash, and have numerous players on loan who they want to sign permanently at the end of this season.
The Italians are allegedly trying to get a discount on Vlasic with TuttoMercatoWeb claiming that the Turin based outfit have made an opening offer for the Croatia international worth €8 million (£7 million) per Six Foot Two – West Ham Magazine Site (6foot2.co.uk).
IMHO – Tell the Italians “You’re making us an offer I can refuse!”….
If they only want to offer £7mil. then include David Zima – https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/david-zima/profil/spieler/544149
for it to be considered.
Vlasic on the retained list, yet we’re letting Lanzini go???
Thought Lanzini wanted to go?
Only because he hardly played last season. Offer him a new 2-3 year deal and the promise if a start alongside Paqueta, and I’ll bet he’d want to stay.
