Vlasic transfer doubt emerges

|

A new report claims that Nikola Vlasic’s expected transfer to Torino may not be as certain as the club have previously led us all to believe.

He has scored four goals and made two assists in 14 Serie A games but when asked about his long-term future at the club, President Urbano Cairo explained he couldn’t guarantee he will sign the Croatia international. declaring instead:  ‘We’ll see…’

Vlasic joined the Granata on loan with an option to buy in the summer after a disappointing one-year spell at West Ham.

The Irons have explained the player will be available to Torino for a fee of £13 million plus add ons,

He has had a tremendous impact at the Stadio Grande Torino, scoring four goals and delivering three assists in 15 appearances across all competitions.

“Vlasic is so strong and is doing really well,” Cairo told Gazzetta.

“Will we sign him permanently? Let’s see, the season is long and at the moment, there are no hypotheses about the market. We’ve only played 14 games, it is too early.”

No Torino player has created more goal-scoring opportunities than Vlasic and the Croatia international is also the Granata with the most touches inside the opponents’ box.
