  1. Can we start from 0 rather than1?

  2. 6 goals in two games. We won’t win at arsenal so will sit bottom after 3 games. All that money spent and we didn’t address the issues we have had for over 2 years. Lack of pace and ability to defend. Bournemouth are a smaller club but my god do they have a fighting mentality. I’ve fallen completely out of love with our club

  3. No matter who we buy or what manager we have we always find a way to fu!! Things up .it’s a record for us we are a laughing stock after 2 games ..I’m with you rich I just can’t be bothered anymore ..his tactic of playing a high like is suicide for a club !one us you need total trust in each other and lots of bottle and they are are thing we have never had ..2 games and I’ve had enough already ..truly pathetic

  4. Hmmmmm …. gives me no pleasure to think johnham1 may have been right. Still, I am sure our players will ‘learn the lessons’ from today’s game … again.
    COYI … I think.

  5. I am afraid that I think that the best scenario at the end of last season would have been to keep Moyes and team and let him buy a couple of midfielders with decent engines and some bite in the tackle. Noble and Wiltshire will get overrun everytime. I fear that Anderson might not be able to cut it in the Premier league – and we can’t afford that from our record signing – also have not seem anything special yet from Yarmolenko and it seems a waste to spend 22 million on Diop and then leave him on the bench

All three who were dropped from last week could not even get on the bench

I would love to be optimistic but that second half display gives very little reason for optimisim

  6. I thought there was actually an improvement from last week but metaphorically we resemble a wedding cake, we can see some nice arty stuff on the icing (related to the way we passed the ball around) unfortunately underneath the icing we are missing most of the cake (represented by poor defending as a team and a non existant defensive midfield, add to that a left back that spends more time in front of his winger than defending).

If we are insistent on playing a winger as a left back I would say Anderson is much better defensively than Masuaku. Yarmolenko looked quality when he came on, someone in the seats next to me said they heard him and Arnie don’t exactly see eye to eye and that was the reason he wasn’t starting matches, he is twice the player Snodgrass will ever be so if true Pelle will need to bite the bullet, Yarmo looks better than Anderson from what I have seen so far, although I thought in general Anderson played ok, Wilshere caused them a lot of problems unfortunately for Nobes they exposed him so many times and he was very lucky a penalty wasn’t awarded when he brought Fraser down wasn’t he ? It looks like a huge rick not signing a cdm, Sanchez did alright while he was on and looked better than Noble but he was playing against a team more intent on holding onto their lead than scoring so not really fair to judge. At least we know where we are now, we are significantly worse than Bournemouth and the players are going to have to work a hell of a lot harder in central midfield it is just a hole for our opponents to exploit, similarly a short diagonal ball between Ogbonna and Masuaku create numerous opportunities for Bournemouth.

  7. Anderson out of he’s depth I reckon Lazio are having a chuckle at us poor team poor tactics & poor players can we just be doomed now 2 games in & everyone saying £100 million spent 3 yrs to late hello championship here we come

  8. Looked good in first half but didn’t show up for second. Anderson needs to work more defensively and looks to still figure out his opponents and PL pace. Early days guys, we all knew it would take time for the new setup to work and players to gel. Disappointing result but unfair to players and staff to conclude on the season at this stage..

  9. What a crop of crap?? Tippy tappy football? West ham way ???? Did not know any of the Bournemouth players??? Bring back Moyes??? At least the team and Arnie knew what they where doing??????????

  10. i say give them more time like some have said they do look good on the ball and the rest will come. we have only just started this season and imho they will need at leased 8 matches to look what they should do.
my only concern was we had a goal from a penalty yet again not from open play. in fairness we didnt look like we were going to get anywhere near there goal

  11. The defence is a complete joke. Need to sort that first and build. Can’t get any worse, I hope!!

  12. I am already worrying about our PL status. The day started ok with the news that Fredericks was not in the squad – a decision I fully agree with. However the decision then to leave both Rice and especially Antonio out of the squad was/is mind boggling. Then the decision to pair Noble and Wilshere in midfield again after last week left me speechless for once. They both can’t play in the same team- no pace. In particular I don’t see what Wilshere brings to the team, he needs to be dropped and sooner rather than later. We need mobility in midfield and that is Obiang and Sanchez. I would also play Arnie and Antonio up top to give us power and pace. I love Antonio for his honesty of effort, yes he lacks technically a little but he is very effective. To leave him out of the squad and include Wilshere is a scandal imo. I would then play Anderson (who needs a decent performance) and Yarmo on the flanks. At least then we may see more of the ball. I still believe the best system for this group of players is 3-5-2.
