Confirmed finally today after a nerve-hanging last 72 hours, Wan Bissaka has put pen to paper, the ‘I’s have been dotted and the ‘T’s crossed.
Intriguingly, West Ham United‘s acquisition of Aaron Wan-Bissaka is a shrewd move that could significantly enhance the attacking capabilities of Jarrod Bowen.
Changing from a largely counterattacking side to one who wants to build out from the back, keep possession and imprint themselves on the game, is a big reason the squad has undergone such radical remodelling this transfer window as Lopetegui builds a squad to execute his own plans.
The addition of a defensively astute and technically proficient right-back like Wan-Bissaka will allow Bowen to focus more on his attacking responsibilities. His attacking contributions have been enormous, but his defensive duties have often hindered his impact in the final third and have no doubt taken toll on his energy reserves in past seasons.
With Wan-Bissaka providing solid cover on the right flank, Bowen can adopt a more advanced role, allowing him to exploit spaces and create scoring opportunities. The increased freedom to attack will undoubtedly benefit the Hammers’ overall attacking output.
The potential of the partnership between Bowen and Wan-Bissaka is an exciting prospect for West Ham fans, and it could be a key factor in the Irons push for European qualification.
Wan-Bissaka is an offensively minded wing back. He will not want to stay at home and defend, but will overlap with Bowen. WB is a lot faster than Coufal but will rely more on the CBs to hold the fort.
Still, a good option and hope Coufal stays as there are games left in his legs.
It will be interesting that’s for sure and having Coufal as a back up is great for the side.
Both our Left and Right sides are tasty to say the least
I can’t wait for Saturday, I’m like a kid waiting for Christmas day.
COYI!!! ⚒️🫧
Even with squad rotation, the likes of Earthy, Potts, Casey, Scarles and Orford are most unlikely to be selected. Send them all out on loan to Championship clubs to future their education as 18-19 year olds.
I can only see an occasional place on the bench at best for Irving.
Awb is a hammer, and so is Duran in his heart he thinks we will spank villa 4 nil on Saturday as their not playing well, and he still hopes villa will lower his price to 20 / 25 million cos he don’t want to be there. And when you look at the fees being paid for proven players like awb, todibo, fulkrieg, kilman anybody can see that villa are now a complete laughing stock when it comes to valuations, those named are stars he is a prospect. And i see villa down the bottom half of the table this season.
Has anyone else noticed the villa infiltrarors have run away with their tails between there legs, since their ridiculous quotes on our site. 😂😂😂
I heard zoumas move failed due to his medical, apparently he failed a cat scan. 😜😜😜
I hope the new relationship will offer something different.
But let’s not forget Jarrod’s first outing in an England shirt. He was left high and dry in the RH corner without the service he regularly got from Vlad.
