James Ward-Prowse’s future at West Ham United is even more uncertain as the transfer window draws to a close. The midfielder’s limited playing time under Julen Lopetegui has prompted his agents to seek interest from other Premier League clubs. Granted, last night’s Carabao Cup performance would not have endeared the freekick specialist to either the Hammers gaffer of prospective buyers, but he is a proven top flight player.
Ward-Prowse’s decision to explore a move away from West Ham is understandable. The midfielder’s talent and experience deserve more playing time, and his current situation at the club is not ideal for a 29 year old who should be playing regular football during his peak years.
Nottingham Forest and Fulham have expressed interest in signing Ward-Prowse. A move to either club could provide him with a fresh start and the opportunity to showcase his abilities.
West Ham United may also be open to selling Ward-Prowse to free up funds for other transfer targets. The club’s decision will likely depend on the offers they receive and their overall transfer strategy.
Ultimately, James Ward-Prowse’s future lies in his own hands. If he is determined to secure regular playing time and make an impact, a move away from West Ham United may be the best option for his career.
Nevertheless, it would be a strange decision to move the former Southampton captain on so soon after moving to the Hammers last summer and ironically, the Saints are well stocked in that area following the signing of Flynn Downes.
QPR look set to sign right-back Harrison Ashby on loan from Newcastle before the transfer window closes on Friday.
He seems like another expensive not good value Moyes signing. Not creative, not especially defensive and not a great passer. Excellent dead ball delivery but is that enough? Even that seemed to fade second half of last season.Very limited impact player.
Very few players came out with flying colours due to small squad , inability to rotate, up and down up and down play , the players were totally shot in body and mind if you add the unnecessary pressure on many of them.
