Former Hammer dire Kieron Dyer disappears into the jungle at the weekend with many Irons fans perhaps thinking he should have been dumped there whilst he was at Upton Park.
Given his track record God alone knows what’s gonna happen when he jumps out of a helicopter with those glass legs of his! This is not the hardest geezer in the world.
Yes it time for ITV’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! of here show again with Dyer’s delicate legs and feet treading in the steps of Jimmy Bullard who played in the West Ham youth set up before making it in the big time.
Let’s hope he doesn’t slip on rain wet grass or slip over a stray twig or two – it could be over before it’s started.
Dyer joined West Ham in 2006 under the doomed Icelandic ownership reign for £6m and was paid a handsome £83,000 per week contract over four years even though he spent the majority of it on the injury table.
‘Glass legs’ played 30 times for the Hammers which worked out at over £575,000 per game or £17.2m in wages over his four years at the Boleyn Ground.
Thankfully, he has had the nous and grace to donate his TV appearance money to charity.
Let’s hope his knees hold out for those Bushtucker trials.
This very un-hard person is about to do a load of manual labour and take part in multiple bushtucker trials Down Under. It could be a recipe for disaster.
King of the jungle?
Well on the law of averages he’s due to be king of something! Err praps not
