West Ham fans can catch a glimpse of the Hammers new signing Pablo Fornals when Spain take on Italy in the Euro U21 Championships live on Sky Sports football channel this Sunday 16th June at 8 PM. The UEFA European Under-21 Championship has its roots in the late 1960s but there have been many stages in its evolution to the high-profile biennial tournament of today.
The group A game will be played in Dall’Ara, Bologna. Fornals won his first cap with the Spain under-21s in March 2016 by playing the full 90 minutes in a 1–0 win against Norway at the Estadio Nueva Condomina. In May 2016, he was called up to the full senior Spanish squad by Vicente del Bosque for a friendly with Bosnia and Herzegovina; he made his debut 12 days later, replacing Mikel San José in the 3–1 win at the AFG Arena in St. Gallen, Switzerland.
He has made 12 appearances for Spanish U21’s and 2 senior appearances for Spain.
