We know the Moyes team and set up now
By James Batterbee
Let’s face the facts. Our bubbles that were flying so high at the start of the season have most definitely burst. The international break has done us up like a kipper.
We’ve returned to action and morphed into the side that was so insipid for much of last season. It needs to be nipped in the bud Mr Moyes!
We got our hides tanned against Villa so understandably Mr Moyes changed the side for Olympiacos away… unbelievably we were even worse! Why oh why did it take us 87 minutes to wake up!!!
There are some big decisions for this weekend, but let’s face it we can already name the 11-13 players that will start against Everton and the 2-3 that will come on around the 70 minute mark.
With Emerson suspended it would be the perfect opportunity to play 5-3-2 with Cresswell or Johnson’s lack of defensive ability covered by three central defenders.
My team for Sunday would be Areola, Vlad, Zouma, Aguerd, Mavrapanos, Johnson. Alvarez, Paqueta and JWP in the middle. Bowen and Kudus up top.
We all know Moyes will play 4-5-1
However we all know that we’ll play 4-5-1 with the same starting line up with Johnson in for Emerson.
So what have we learnt from this week… we have a decent first team with three or five ok replacements and a manager who had one way of playing!
We desperately need two centre forwards and a left back.
Anyway all that said I see us sneaking a 2-1 win against Sean Dyche’s men
