Irons deny artificial crowd noise effects!

|

seatedThe club have categorically denied that artificial crowd noise was played during yesterday’s Premier League defeat against Southampton.

A West Ham insider told ClaretandHugh this morning “West Ham United can confirm that they never have, and never will, play additional crowd noise inside the stadium. The support from our fans doesn’t need any amplification, they are always magnificent.”

A QPR fan started the false claims by posting on twitter: “I’m at the West Ham game as as a neutral and they just played crowd noise out the speakers”

Premier League commentator Martin Tyler also reportedly made the same incorrect claim on international coverage of the game he was covering.

This was picked up on social media and rival fans forums before making to several football related websites such as 101GreatGoals.com, TheSportBible.com and squawka.com to make yet another joke at the expense of West Ham, their fans and their new stadium.

West Ham outsource their live production of the match to ADI production who also confirm they did not nor ever have played artificial crowd noise during a live match:  They say: “We categorically have not nor have ever played out artificial crowd FX.”

Why bovver you have obviously given up already. these sort of comments are not helpful. I know you are frustrated at what’s happening but all the negative comments don’t help in the slightest. We’ve all got the fuc#ing hump. but we need constructive criticism not slagging off. COYI X

I’ve not been yet but my mate went along for the Watford game as his mates mate had a ticket going for free! However, he found it a complete effort, he was well up for it when he woke in the morning, then as he got closer and closer and eventually in to the stadium he was finding it more and more of an effort to drag himself to the seat. I said to him to blame the lack of a good boozer.

    Hope they turn it around!!!!

I’m 36, and call me negative a negative sod but I liked it when I knew where I stood as a West Ham fan at our nice little home. I wasn’t bothered about the Olympic Stadium at all, I’d worked there when it was being built for the Olympics and the view of the grass from the stands seemed miles away so that image was always in my head when everyone else was getting excited about turning in a plastic business type organisation of greed and wealth.

Also who wants to walk through that big plastic shopping mall to get to a footy match anyway? 🙂 Although to be fair some blokes taking their Mrs’ will be lucky as they’ll be dragged in to the posh Primark instead of the stadium. Am sure there are a lot more entertaining sites in there.

I’ll hopefully get along soon as do think even the new lads who look the wrong sort of different class at the moment will come good.

They are probably talking about the videos they play on the big screen in the build up to the game.

Artificial noise? You could hear a pin drop where I am! At one point I nearly leaned over to watch the film the kid next to me had on his IPad 🙂

A bit of canned laughter might come in handy . Maybe we should all start doing the ” can can ” around the seating .

  • Yep a QPR fan at the game tweeted it and it gained pace on a Spurs online forum

Just a typical bit of banter from other London clubs, when I read the rumour I thought if might be from s spud or gooner tbh
