We are all aware of Romelu Lukaku’s record of nine goals in his last eight games against West Ham but Tom Cleverley has also scored three goals for three different teams against the Hammers, including the last time he played against them, but is yet to register one against them for Everton.
“It gives you confidence when you’ve scored against a team before,” said Cleverley .
“I’ve got three in my career against them and I was thinking about it driving into training earlier this week.
“Hopefully I can make it four. I missed both games against West Ham last season so the last time I played against them I scored, and hopefully I can keep that run going.
“Rom always seems to score against them and long may that continue. But if me or Rom don’t score and we get the three points, I don’t think we’ll be bothered. That’s all that matters this weekend and hopefully we can do it.”
He won’t be so ” clever ” today I reckon . And as for the pundits predicting 3 – 3 and 0 – 2 you have to take them with a large spoonful of salt . With both teams improving their defenses ( a question of having had to ) I don’t expect it to be raining balls in the nets .
Our attack seems to be looking a bit more fluent of late with the 3 4 3 and so I predict either a 1 – 1 or a 0 – 1 score line . A 0 – 2 clean sheet would be heaven .

Watching Sky Sports . Couldn’t believe my ears when that scouser , Souness said ; Payet shouldn’t be at West Ham and he should be at a club like Barcelona !! . He should be strung out to dry for suggesting such an outrageous thing . That’s exactly the kind of rubbish we don’t need to hear live on air with everyone and Thier auntie listening .
