Rows? WHUFC no different to any other club

|

SYesterday we ran a feature from blogger Nigel Kahn in which he claimed the fans’ protests of last season led to a change of style from Sam Allardyce this year.

We ran the article for one reason – to get  his opinion on what he was watching  this season after the relentless criticism he had poured in the manager’s direction last year.

Not unnaturally it led to the usual back biting between what has become known as the pro and anti Sam Allardyce brigades.

The piece appeared soon after ClaretandHugh had stated its position, that everybody involved this season including the manager gets 10 out of 10 and that is was time to unite. At the same time the worthy Paul Walker made a similar appeal on www.kumb.com.

Football is tribal. Name of the game, a given!  West Ham’s rows are no different to those at Newcastle United, Manchester United, Arsenal, Cardiff City etc.

Look at the row over David Moyes, Alan Pardew, Arsene Wenger and Malky Mackay! We are no different. Every family has rows.

However  one small point! A few days ago we pointed out that Sam had said in his press conference the “change of style” call by the owners back in the summer was a “myth ” – that it didn’t happen

We pointed out that a board statement on May 20 included this quote from the co chairmen: “After listening to feedback from supporters, the Board have insisted on improvements to the set-up of the playing and backroom staff to ensure the team provides more entertainment next season.”

We of course accept that the word “style” is not used per se but the message is pretty clear.

Reporting what Sam had said and showing why it wasn’t a myth is not anti Sam. It’s simply keeping an eye on things and explaining facts.

The sentence from the board shows everybody had their say and that’s an end to it. We repeat, congratulations to everybody this season.

Let peace break out and let’s all move on.

Typical of BFS, too slippery for his own good!

Anything bad that happens is never his fault, there’s always someone else to blame, he’s too quick to claim credit for anything good – that’s why I don’t like him and never will!

I don’t want to move on,I have been here for 44 years! I still want that excuse for a manager to resign and get a more progressive manager, one who coaches his own players, one who develops young players, one whose mate is not his agent, one who does play Nolan when there are better options, one who doesnt insult me and you guys, one who doesn’t rob the club of £3m a year, one whose staff are his staff but we pay for them and lastly one who can actually win something.until then Sam out!

I love the passion from Michael and Rugby.I concur with their thoughts and think the Hammers will not realize their full potential under Allardyce.

Some people will spend the whole of this season slagging off Sam no matter if we stay in the top 4 and play the football we are playing now. I find that sad. I have no idea what pleasure they get from that. Times are changing at West Ham get behind the board and the team and the manager. If this continues Sam will get a new 2 year contract and rightly so.
