Wenger watches Oxford again

Hammers brilliant teenage prospect Reece Oxford is once again in Arsene Wenger’s sights.

The Arsenal boss watched the 15 year old again in the under 21s first win oOxfordf the season over Sunderland on Monday.

Wenger has been tracking him for months and his interest brought a recent outburst from co owner David Sullvian  when he claimed it was this sort of activity that barely made it worth running an academy.

The Hammers are trying to tie the player to a deal to keep interest at bay but Oxford has yet to agree.

Chelsea are also keen on the player who is understood to have been offered one of the biggest contracts for his age group by the Irons.

  1. I believe signing Reece and other talents from our academy is not only vitally important for the club but for the very future of the academy system itself.
For if we can’t hold onto the talent we have so carefully nurtured then what really is the point?!

  2. There should be a different sort of way of keeping these youngsters.Or a transfer fee that his club set.It seems so unfair when fans are waiting to see these, amazing talents, and then see him go to a bigger club for pennies.Really annoying! He probably will go but you wont see him in an arsenal shirt for a good eight years, different being a big fish in a small pond,to being a tiddler in a big pond. C.O.Y.I.
