Carl Jenkinson’s future is still very much up in the air after heart-to-hart talks with Arsene Wenger.
Wenger is reportedly ready to loan the right back out again but whether that will be to us or another club remains to be seen.
Much rests on the Hammers managerial decision at the end of the campaign although the preferred option would be to find a permanent solution to the right back situation.
Glen Johnson and Micah Richards have both been mentioned as possible alternatives but we understand the Hammers remain keen to enter talks with Arsenal for Jenks despite Wenger’s “he’s going nowhere” claims which they believe may be a ploy to push the fee as high as possible.
The Mirror reports Wenger as saying: “I met Carl this week to speak about his future. We will sit down together at the end of the season. I have to decide whether we loan him out again at the end of the season.
“He needs experience. Carl is a young, very promising right-back with top quality and he had a good year where he has really moved forward. It’s important that he has a good chance to play if he comes back.”
I for one would be happy if he stays at Arsenal – there are better and cheaper right backs out there.. Saying that I would also be happy if we took him for another season on loan perhaps my opinion might change then, I think at 7-8m it is a lot of money.
ahahaha… John, you are my hero! looool… 😉
Don’t give up John, but you did not name these better players you have in mind and don’t mention Johnson to old and makes to many mistakes and his wages would be a lot higher than Jenks
Richards has turned us down 3 times again his wages will ba as bad as Johnson and he is not a proper right back,
Waiting for the list ?
