West Brom “wait and see” on Sakho

sakhoTony Pulis has not ruled out a fresh move for West Ham striker Diafra Sakho before the transfer window closes claim the Birmingham Mail.

Sakho came very close to joining West Bromwich Albion last month with a £16 million fee agreed by both clubs and personal terms agreed.

The transfer fell through after detailed medical checks revealed the true extent of a pre-existing back injury and his match fitness levels.

And although Sakho is still injured, it’s thought he should be match fit enough to return to action in mid September meaning he could technically only miss one Albion match.

“We’ll have to wait and see,” Pulis said when asked whether he would return for Sakho before the transfer window closes on Wednesday night.

The report also claims Albion remain interested in Sakho’s Hammers teammate Enner Valencia, also a reported target for Aston Villa. Undoubtedly there will be more twists and turns before the transfer window shuts on Wednesday.

  1. West Brom have just signed Chadli from Tottenham – they’re pretty desperate – you never know!
