West Brom want Diangana

Former Hammers manager Slaven Bilic last night enquired about the availability of Grady Diangana on a season’s loan.

The news was broken by Football.London this morning who say ‘The Hammers have indicated they would like to receive a loan fee from the Baggies to take the academy graduate to the Midlands for the season and would be willing to lower their fee to help out their former manager. West Brom are also happy to pay a loan fee.

Diangana has been heavily involved in West Ham’s pre-season getting a lot of minutes on the pitch but is down in the pecking order this season with Pellegrini with a number of options on the wing.

Grady turned 21 in April but misses out on qualifying as a homegrown player this season as it is only applicable to those who were 21 before the 1st January 2019.

It remains to seen whether Diagnana will go on loan but Conner Coventry and Nathan Holland could be looking for loans this season before the transfer window shuts tomorrow.

  1. I’d be reluctant to let him go personally. Not thd finished article but provides cover on the wings and has pace to burn.

  2. I think it would be a great move that would benefit all parties. The Championship would really test his physicality and if he tears up the leave we will have a very valuable asset next season. If he can’t cut it, we’ll know he’s not Premier League level. It also gives an opportunity for Nathan Holland to break through this season.

As long as there is a recall clause, I’d like to see this one happen.
