Hermansen:1 The poor bloke must wonder what the hell is going on. He certainly wouldn’t have expected to play behind a worse defence than Leicester City last season. He was awful to say the least but honestly . . . who was? Flapped at the ball as he let in his 4th and the 5th was even worse. Will need his confidence rebuilding and to be taken out of the team.
Todibo:4 Could have been better positionally for the Fernandez goal.
Kilman:3 Far too weak with his challenge in the build-up to Chelsea’s third aster 33 mins.
Aguerd:4 Won the ball which led to West Ham’s opener. Did well to track a run from Gusto and match him for pace but he and Diouf really struggled to contain the wing-play.
Wan Bissaka:2 Switched off as Chelsea equalised in a crazy and frenetic start to the game. Did the same again for Chelsea’s second as he failed to track Neto. Completed his hat-trick as Fernandez scored the Blues 3rd from the back post too.
Ward Prowse:2 Powerless to impact the game in any way. JWP has lost his set-piece X-factor and all that is left is an honest hard worker. the way Cucurella ran past him in the build up to Chelsea’s corner ahead of their 4th was truly frightening.
Soucek:3 Forgot he was playing until he misplaced a pass in the 27th min. Had a half chance after Chelsea had given up trying.
Paqueta:5 Opened the scoring with an incredible swerving shot from 20 yards after only 5 mins. Should have done much better as Marc Cucurella outjumped him in the build up to the equaliser only 10 mins later.

Diouf:4 Made a goal saving header at the back post denying Chelsea a goal but unfortunately they scored from the resulting corner. Put Paqueta under pressure by playing out from the back which ultimately resulted in the away team going 2-1 up after only 22 mins.
Bowen:4 Played slightly wider which might have helped but I’m starting to think that Potter doesn’t know how to get the best out of West Ham’s star man. He really tried and looked better when we switched formation but there were few crumbs of comfort.
Fullkrug:3 Scored with a good left foot shot which was overruled for offside by VAR. Went down on several occasions as he wan man-handled by pretty much everyone.

Wilson:5 Part of a double swap at half time for Fullkrug. Missed a decent chance at 5-1 down but it didn’t impact anything.
Potts:5 On for Todibo
Walker Peters:5 On for Soucek on 70 mins and did okay but the opposition had long since given up really trying.
Potter needs to go NOW. He has no idea what to do
So any substitute that comes on gets given an auto 5/10? I don’t see how they deserve any more than some of our other players.
I think the board have missed their window of opportunity to get anyone decent to come to the club. If you were a player would you want to come to west ham?
Anybody who is on the up and up will not want a relegation on their CV and I’m sure agents will be advising their clients to stay away from such a poorly run club that still operates like its 2005, I know I would.

I pointed out a few days ago how bad our defenders are and the whole team is collapsing before our eyes following the head coach’s recent peculiar press conference before the Chelsea game.
I see Nottingham Forest’s manager may soon be available. He will do for me.
A complete clear out is needed. From the board, to a coach who keeps picking a disastrous backline, with a dud keeper. Potter looked clueless as his forlorn figure encouraged no hope to an already useless West Ham backline and midfield. Then his wonderful substitutions, replacing a centre-forward with another centre-forward, and leaving on a right back who committed himself to nothing and a keeper who has no goalkeeping savvy to speak about. Go Potter and take your hopeless players and staff with you. Bruno’s call to fame was a yellow card and a camera moment. Wow. Lord, help us !
From day one I thought Potter was clueless. He has already made numerous mistakes during his short tenure. My seats remained empty tonight and will do so until he has gone.
Sack him soon Sully and replace him with someone with experience in a premier league relegation dogfight.
Where was the passion and the pride? Defending was woeful and why a new keeper has been thrown in after Areola made a couple of errors in the manure friendly us beyond me.
If this doesn’t make Sullivan dust off his wallet, nothing will!
Don’t blame Potter, this has been coming for at least 18 months and has been made worse as time goes by because of the decisions made by the board and Sulivan. Keep saying we have no money. We don’t even have a football ground of our own. Seems to me the board are living in cloud co co land and taking too much money out of the club. Style resembles Moyes, results remind of Lopetegui. This WH version so far shows no improvement over the 24/25 version. With performances like these, a permanent fight to avoid relegation threatens. One wonder: does the board so far show any awareness of the present reality plus the likely future that looms ahead, and consequently any concern?

Absolutely pathetic 8 goals conceded in the first 2 games and we didn’t start competing until the 70th minute when we were already losing 5-1! FFS what was our defence Van Bissaka, Todibo and Kilman doing and don’t get me started on our new goalkeeper. 18 million pounds and flapped at every cross get him out of the firing line as he was dreadful. As for Potter 5 wins in 21 games shows he cannot get any better and is completely out of his depth. Get Nuno in now as there is not a single good player in Europe who would even consider joining us after seeing this s—- show.
