West Ham United academy graduate Gideon Kodua has joined Wycombe Wanderers on loan for the season. The 19-year-old attacking midfielder will look to gain valuable experience and develop his skills in League One.

Academy boss Kenny Brown has revealed that the attacking midfielder has been sent out on loan to get more first-team football under his belt and become a regular.

He said: “With half a season at Wycombe under his belt, the goal now is for him to establish himself and get more game time.

“Now, he’ll be gaining even more minutes in the Football League, which he’s more than capable of doing.

“We’re confident he’ll have a successful season. At West Ham, we want to ensure the right pathways for our best young players, and Gideon is certainly one of them.”

Kodua captained West Ham to FA Youth Cup glory in 2023 and spent the second half of last season on loan at Wycombe. The Hammers have high hopes for Kodua’s future and believe this loan move will help him progress.
